Meet Kevin Guerrero, the vice president of operations at Brock Built! Kevin became a member of the metro-Atlanta based home builder’s team in 2008, starting out as the purchasing manager and wearing many different hats over the past few years. His typical workday includes sorting through hundreds of emails, attending industry meetings, managing the new home production cycle and ensuring that new homes in the Atlanta market are built with the level of quality and integrity for which Brock Built is known. What are some of the exciting new projects you’re currently working on? We have a couple of exciting new home communities coming this year within walking distance of Historic Downtown Norcross. Adams Vineyard is a one-of-a-kind community that will have its own private vineyard with Muscadine grapes and eight acres of green space. Each home will be designed and placed specifically for each lot to provide a gorgeous streetscape around the vineyard. Our Lum Howell community surrounds a private park and offers wonderful homes featuring 10-foot ceilings, finished hardwood flooring, large master suites, and exquisite gourmet kitchens. In Cobb County, we have a new phase grand opening this year at The Gardens, featuring our newest Mews-style homes. These homes are distinctly designed with beautiful four-sides architectural detail and large porches that complement the home around a private open space called a Mews. The Mews space is unique and special, providing a community area for our valued customers to enjoy a walk with their dog or chat with their neighbor after work. What do you enjoy most about your job? I enjoy the process of building a quality home that our customers are seeking out and greatly respect in the Atlanta market. What makes BB stand out from other homebuilders? We are a family-owned business and take great pride with hand selecting quality materials for the interiors and exteriors of our homes that are not typical “builder grade.” We also spend an enormous amount of time educating ourselves on the latest in building science so we can make thoughtful decisions about the products that we deliver to our customers. For example, we use a high density blown insulation in the exterior walls of our homes. This upgraded insulation application is standard for Brock Built and provides our customers with a higher R-value, lower utility bills, and effective sound control. When you’re not busy at work, what kind of things do you enjoy doing? When not at work, I enjoy my time with my wife, Linda and sports with my three daughters Emma, 12, Ava, 10, and Olivia, 7. I am involved with each of my children’s sports activities, too! Emma plays tennis, Ava plays softball, and Olivia just finished soccer and is starting softball this fall.
