This is one of late summer’s best festivals located in Atlanta’s largest park and it always offers a good time for folks that love the arts and family-friendly fun.

The 2016 Piedmont Park Summer Arts Festival is this Saturday and Sunday, August 13th-14th. This free Atlanta festival delivers with an emphasis on the visual arts, craftsmanship, and family fun in a wonderful setting. The PPAF is presented by the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces and welcomes people of all ages, races, customs and interests to come out and enjoy the festival. The midtown communities around Piedmont Park and other adjacent intown neighborhoods are filled with many of Atlanta’s top art supporters and local buyers. The 2-day event will feature many different types of art to see from hundreds of artists, including painters, sculptors, photographers, metalsmiths, jewelers, glass blowers, and other fine craftsman. There will be an emerging artists section, “live” artist demonstrations offered, a , a designated kids play area, plenty of festival style food with some healthy alternatives available as well, plus lots of cold drinks and beverages.
