Independence Day is a time to celebrate the wonderful nation we live in with family and friends. From live music and entertainment to incredible firework shows, there is a lot happening around the city this Fourth of July. To help you plan where to spend your holiday, here are four events where you can celebrate the Fourth of July in Intown Atlanta.
Fireworks in Fourth Ward
Take the family to Ponce City Market on July 4th for the Fireworks in Fourth Ward Fourth of July celebration. Here you will be able to celebrate with a variety of family-friendly activities. Activities for the kids include cornhole, a doughnut walk, games, as well as face painting. Some of the best food trucks in Atlanta will also be at the event serving a variety of dishes. These include popular vendors such as Spice the Americas, King Kabob, Istanbul Gyro, Original Hot Dog Factory, King of Pops, Queen of Cream, and more.
Georgia World Congress Center Authority Fourth of July Celebration
This Year, the Georgia World Congress Center Authority’s Fourth of July Celebration will be held at Georgia International Plaza. The gates will open at 6:00 pm for an evening of live music and entertainment. Food vendors will be on-site for the event, where you can purchase $2 hot dogs and $1 drinks. The fireworks show is scheduled to begin at 9:45 pm.
Rooftop Backyard Luau
For a tropical themed Independence Day celebration, head to The Roof at Ponce City Market. The annual Rooftop Backyard BBQ event will take place on July 4th from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm. In addition to live music and entertainment, you will also have access to the attractions of Skyline Park. Furthermore, with one of the best panoramic views in the city, you will get to see all of the fireworks shows in Atlanta. This includes the Fireworks in Fourth Ward spectacular.
The Sun Dial’s Red, White, and View
Another place to celebrate the Fourth of July this year is The Sun Dial Restaurant. Beginning at 7:00 pm, you will be able to enjoy a wide assortment of appetizers, dinner options, snacks, and desserts. The event will also feature live entertainment and giveaways. The best part of the evening will be your 360-degree views of Atlanta’s skyline. Here, you will be able to enjoy all of the firework displays across the entire city and metro area.
