The groundbreaking

Breaking Ground

The groundbreaking ceremony took place in the award-winning community of West Highlands on a sunny day in late August. It was attended by figures from Atlanta Mission, Brock Built employees, and comedian/spokesperson Jeff Foxworthy. We had a great time presenting the project and getting construction started in earnest. Shortly after the event, a solid foundation was laid for the home, and Atlanta Mission kicked off the sweepstakes to win it!

Progress and Dedication

By October, framing was almost complete. Doors were installed, and the full frame of the home was sturdily in place. Team members from Brock Built and Atlanta Mission came by to sign the frame before drywall went up, leaving affirmations and inspirational quotes. This special gesture of positivity means that gratitude and love are built into the very walls of the winner’s new Brock Built home

Final Touches

As the time to select a winner draws near, work on the house is coming to a close as well. Drywall has gone up, energy efficient windows are installed, and the exterior is nearing completion. Painting is also coming to a close, which is one of the last things before the home can be considered complete. Every moment that has gone into the construction of this gorgeous home has been in service to Atlanta Mission’s goal, and every donation* and sweepstakes entry has contributed to their new low-barrier shelter in Atlanta.
