There are plenty of ways to get outside for exercise, like walking, biking, and playing sports. And, that sounds much better than being in a stuffy gym on a bright spring day. Now of course, if you’re living in the right community, you could spend more of your exercise time soaking up the sun and fresh air in the great outdoors. Finding the right place to do those types of activities is what can really make a difference. Luckily, there’s plenty of open green space in and around our new Atlanta homes and communities. You just need to find the one that’s right for you.

The Atlanta BeltLine

The Atlanta BeltLine is a master-planned citywide treasure full of art, nature, and parks. Fitness classes, races, and festivals take place all along its miles of finished trails. The BeltLine is expanding and will wrap all of Atlanta with walking and biking trails, art installations, and natural scenery. Our West Midtown homebuyers in West Town will soon have a new section of the BeltLine open just a few minutes walk from their doors.

Scenic Hiking Trails

Georgia’s natural resources are gorgeous and plentiful. Scenic national and state parks are all over Georgia, and there’s plenty of hiking. Just north of Marietta is Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. It’s a fun outing for everyone, with lots of beautiful trails, and it’s easy to get to from Mangêt.

Beautiful Parks

Finally, there are the parks. There are beautiful outdoor spaces all around Atlanta. Some of them have wide open green spaces and amphitheaters for outdoor concerts, some have playing fields and goals for sports, and some have playground equipment for the little ones. One park is coming to the Westside soon, though, that has everything! This park will have space for biking, walking, sports, events, and more. The Westside Park at Bellwood Quarry is slated to be the biggest park in Atlanta, almost twice as big as Piedmont. It will be connected to West Highlands by the Path Foundation’s scenic Proctor Creek Greenway, steps from your door. Add that to the neighborhood’s beautiful Herman Perry Park, and the green space right inside West Highlands, and you’ve got a park lover’s paradise.
