Have a Picnic Near Our Atlanta New Homes

picnic spots near homes for sale in AtlantaIt’s officially August, which means it’s also officially National Picnic Month, and Brock Built hopes that all Atlanta new home residents will join in the outdoor dining celebrations! Whether you want to celebrate within your community or at a local park, we have you covered. If you’re looking to dine al fresco just outside your front door, look no further than your backyard or your community green space. A majority of our communities were built with green spaces in mind, and some even have amazing amenities packages that include picnic areas, grills and/or pavilions. If you’re looking for a change of scenery for your outdoor dining experience, several of our communities of new homes in Atlanta are located just minutes from local parks. Here’s a look at some of our favorite places to spread out a blanket:

  • Lucky homeowners at Dupont Commons have a multitude of park options just minutes from their community. Spink-Collins Park, Whittier Mills Park, Atlanta Memorial Park and Tanyard Creek Park are all nearby.
  • Grant Park: In addition to lush, open fields, Grant Park is also home to Zoo Atlanta and the Cyclorama. Turn your picnic into an all-day affair of family fun and learning!
  • Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park: Residents of Manget and Cloverhurst are just 10 minutes or less from this historical park. Enjoy a family meal, and then hike the park’s 18 miles of interpretative trails or drive to the top of the mountain to enjoy breath-taking views.
  • Bells Ferry Park: This action-packed park near The Enclave at Laura Creek offers two playgrounds, four tennis courts, two softball fields and two batting cages in addition to the picnic pavilion.
  • Sweat Mountain Park: Our East Cobb new home residents at Idlewilde and Lynden Manor will love spending time at this park located just around the corner from their community. Offerings include a picnic pavilion, dog park, playgrounds, tennis courts, batting cages and baseball fields.

Are you inspired yet? If so, pack up your picnic basket, grab a blanket and round up your family, friends and neighbors, and head outside to enjoy the beautiful Georgia weather during National Picnic Month!
