The Great Pumpkin Carving Contest at Atlanta Botanical Gardens: Watch local chefs and designers show off their amazing pumpkin carving skills as they compete against each other to carve an award-winning masterpiece! The Great Pumpkin Carving contest is scheduled for October 23 from 7 to 8 p.m., but there are tons of opportunities for fun at Ogre-tober fest all month long, including the Scarecrows in the Garden exhibit, Fest-of-Ale on Thursday nights and fall family fun on weekends.
