From Our Home to Yours

Q: When is a stone not a stone? A: When the stone comes from Brock Built’s own Fox Mountain. This eye-catching stone is used exclusively in many of the company’s new Atlanta homes. It all began nearly a decade ago when the Brocks purchased a farm in Rising Fawn, Ga. where the mountain is located. The Brocks incorporated Fox Mountain stone into the construction of their log cabin’s two-story fireplace and in a portion of the home’s exterior. The stone’s grays, reds and greens perfectly complemented the rest of the cabin, and the Brocks realized that the natural beauty of Fox Mountain stone would be a perfect fit in their new homes under construction in Marietta and metro Atlanta. Brock Built quarries stone from Fox Mountain to home sites where masons hand-chisel each piece of stone instead of using commercially popular products. Adeline Pond, Watercrest Commons and Dupont Commons were some of the first communities to feature Fox Mountain stone either around fireplaces or in the exteriors of the homes. All homes in Piedmont Crossing and Pete Shaw Manor, along with Brock Built communities of many other new Atlanta homes incorporate the stone into their designs. “Our homeowners appreciate the personal touch that the stone gives to their home, and the fact that it makes their home truly unique,” said Evanne. Today when new Brock Built homeowners relax in front of their fireplace or pull into their driveway, they are reminded that Brock Built went the extra mile to give them something special that is not found in other Georgia homes.
