Agent Spotlight: Ansley Brooks

Atlanta new homes agentThis month, we interviewed another one of our top agents who works in several of our intown communities. Take a look at what Ansley Brooks had to say:

  1. How/why did you get into a career in real estate? I worked in retail management for more than 13 years, and loved the sales aspect. I also love working with people on a daily basis and making them happy, so real estate seemed like a perfect fit. I know that purchasing a home is one of the biggest decision that many people make in their lifetime; it’s a emotional, yet exciting, process. Home is where the heart is, and I wanted to be a part of helping people build or buy their house that they would one day call home.
  2. Why did you choose to work with Brock Built Homes? I was introduced to Brock Built through my best friend who was one of the onsite agents. I met with Steve and Evanne Brock, and knew this is where I wanted to start my new career. I love the energy and positive moral that this company has, it’s a family run and operated company, and you see that through the neighborhoods and homes designs. Brock Built Homes builds a high performance new Atlanta home with beautiful features and finishes that are semi-custom. Steve and Evanne are so hands on, which makes the buyers feels at ease going through process.
  3. Give us a brief description of the communities you are currently working in. Currently I am finishing out Dupont Commons with five single family homes and five townhomes starting from the low $300,000s. At Glenaire in East Atlanta, we are building 14 single family homes starting from the low $300,000s, and have two home now in sheet rock with two more homes starting in the next 30 days. Lastly, we have Parkview II, a collection of 21 single family homes located in West Midtown; construction will begin in approximately 90 days, and prices will start in the high $200,000s.
  4. How have you seen the intown Atlanta market change over the past few months? Sales have gone up, prices have increased and inventory levels have decreased; all of this has led to a more competitive market.
  5. What is your favorite part of working in real estate? I love working for a semi-custom builder, helping buyer’s obtain their dream home and watching their dream become a reality from the ground up.
  6. What has been your proudest moment? I would say my proudest moment was last year; even thought the market started turning towards the end of the year, I sold just under $10 million of homes and the company sold a total of 93 homes; this put my sales at just under 30 percent of the total sales for the company in 12 total communities.
  7. What advice do you have for potential buyers? My best advice is to know what you are looking for, know your must haves and what you can live without and to talk to a lender to get pre-qualified; that way when you see something you want, you can make an offer. Homes are moving so fast that you don’t want to lose out on your dream home, so be prepared.
