September’s featured agent post catches up with Susan Bouchillon who has worked with us to sell out Belmont Chase in Smyrna, and who is now leading the way for sales of our new homes near Marietta Square at Manget.
- Why did you choose a career in real estate?
It chose me. When the recession ended my career in national strategic business development, I was doing some out-sourced work for Brock Built Homes. I worked with them using my sales and marketing background to help revitalize the Belmont Chase community, which we sold out within a year. It was a wonderful project, and I could have sold 50 more just like it.
- What made you choose to work for Brock Built homes?
After the economy strengthened, positions in my career field became available once again. However, I made the decision to begin the second chapter in my life, get my real estate license and continue to serve the Brock family. Brock Built builds an excellent product, and I found gratification in helping people once again live the American dream of owning their own home.
- Give us a brief description of Manget.
In one word, Manget is magical. It offers Old World-style architecture with a proposed plan of more than 100 “rose-covered” single family homes, cottages and townhouses connected by parks, English Gardens and walking trails.
- What do you think makes Manget unique or different?
Manget is an exclusive walking community designed for people with the most sophisticated tastes and a love for the good life. Residents may walk amid the English gardens, and along tree-lined sidewalks to the shops, restaurants and many forms of live entertainment and arts available on the Historic Marietta Square.
- Why is Marietta so appealing to buyers?
Nationally award-winning public schools attract the young professionals, and extraordinary property tax benefits to those aged 62 and older are driving people from all over the United States to our doors. Both types of buyers want the benefit of our low cost of living, temperate climate, multitude of activities, tax benefits and quality life style. I believe the City of Marietta will be the next place in the United States to go “viral” as people discover the quaint beauty and benefits of the square.
- What has been your most rewarding moment?
There have gratefully been several: selling my first home within a week, selling out Belmont Chase to wonderful buyers and launching Manget are just a few.
- What advice would you give today’s homebuyer?
You can have it all if you follow your heart.
- What do you like to do outside of real estate?
I have a terrible case of wanderlust. I love to travel and explore the various cultures of the world. Ready to follow your heart into a new home at magical Manget? Give Susann a call at 404-545-3017.
