Brock Built, the largest residential builder of single family homes, town homes, and master planned communities on the west side of Atlanta, is proud to introduce Going Green “The Green House”.  This environmentally responsible demonstration home showcases sustainable design features attainable for the typical Atlanta family.  The house is built in West Highlands, one of Brock Built’s award winning mixed use communities.  Brock Built has partnered with WSB-TV and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta on this project to bring it the broadest possible awareness.  WSB-TV has followed the entire building process which will culminate in a one hour Prime Time Special on September 17th 8 - 9pm telling the story of the innovate partnership and the remarkable transformation of the West Highlands Community.  The home will be auctioned off online to the highest bidder as of October 3rd and all proceeds donated to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.  

Construction began in April with The Brock Built website and the WSB website documenting the building process, therefore providing educational information on green building.  The home is open for tours to the public Wednesday and Friday 1pm - 5pm and Saturday 11am - 5pm.  Also by appointment for groups.  Please call Katie at 404.214.2744 to schedule tour or host a special event at the house.  Everyone involved in the process from architects to contractors to WSB and Brock Built’s entire staff is donating their time, money or both.  “We are extremely proud and honored to be able to create something so important to the environment, educate the public and contribute hundreds of thousands of dollars to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta,” said Steve Brock founder and CEO of Brock Built.  

The finished home will be sold to the highest bidder on October 3rd and proceeds will be donated to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. The single family home is built on Craftsman Drivein the new West Highlands community. The Going Green - "Green House" is the next level of social consciousness that has always been an integral part of the Brock Built philosophy.
